About The Van

What does the van do?

Firstly it delivers the furniture that we sell to the buyer's house,
collects the furniture when donated for re-sale.

Furniture and other items are delivered daily within Melton
town and nearby villages such as Asfordby.

Other outlying villages are covered once weekly and some every other
week; the Project aggrees dates for collections and deliveries.

Rutland area is covered weekly on Tuesdays.

The van always delivers and collects between 9:00am and 2:00pm.

Please note that our volunteers are not allowed to carry items up
and down stairs as they are not insured or trained to do this.

The van is not used to provide a removal service. The Project do not want to abuse
the willingness of our volunteers by branching out into this type of service.

Finally the van is not available for hire. To keep costs down it is insured
only for specific volunteers and can only be driven by them.
